NEW PRODUCTS FOR 2016
Fishpond’s ability to add to its line with new functions, features and fabrics was again in evidence at the recent IFTD show in Orlando.
The Denver, Colorado, luggage manufacturer introduced new-for-2016 fishing packs, bags, vests and accessories at the Florida trade show.
Among the products that attracted visitors’ attention were two new totally waterproof, submersible packs – the Thunderhead Sling and El Niño Guide Pack. Both use Fishpond’s CYCLEPOND fabric, made from recycled fishing net that is then TPU coated and welded.
Enhancing the packs’ waterproof qualities is a German-made Tizip submersible zipper and an exterior zippered pocket. Both packs have an interior accessory pocket and mesh back panels to keep anglers cool.
In addition, there are integrated net slots and ample exterior tabs and cord loops to hold accessories.
Also new to the Fishpond line-up is the Oxbow Chest/Backpack, with a modular design that allows flexibility of use. The hydration backpack can be worn on its own or combined with the chest pack for less adventurous pursuits.
